The Holy Spirit is the third person of the trinity. The Holy Spirit is a person, and not a force. In the previous chapter Jesus talks to His disciples about how the world hate Him, tells them about loving one another, for they would be persecuted for His sake; but they was not to worry because He would send them the Spirit of Truth, which is the Holy Spirit, He wanted them to know that love and joy would be perfected in Him. Jesus is preparing His disciples for His departure, and He did not want them to be worry or concerned, for He would send them a Helper and he would come from the spiritoftruth1Father; and He would testify of Him. The disciples would know and recognized what the Spirit says as the truth, because He would only speak what He has heard Jesus say; and because they had been with Him. He promises them that the Spirit will guide them into further truth which they were to expect, for Christ tells them that His departure was necessary; because the comforter would not come as long as Christ was on the earth. Jesus knew that His disciples needed to be weaned from His bodily presence, before they would be prepared to receive the Spirit’s aids and comforts of a new dispensation.

The presence of Christ’s Spirit in His Church is more desirable than His bodily presence. His Spirit could be in one place at the same time, for the spirit is omnipresent, everywhere present at the same time. The scripture says where two or three are gather together in His name He is in the midst. The Spirit of Truth had to come, for He is sent on the errand of reproving people of their sins. The Spirit of Truth is here to convince sinners of sin, not just to tell them of it; it is to force us to own our sin He convinces us of the fault of sin, the folly of sin, and the fruit of sin, the end thereof is death. The bible says the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life. The Spirit of Truth is here He convinces of righteousness that Jesus Christ is the righteousness of God and we have no righteousness in and of ourselves except through Christ. The coming of the Spirit would be of unspeakable advantage to the disciple, the Spirit has work to do, not only on the enemies of Christ, but upon His servants as well. Without the Spirit we can do nothing, but with the Spirit we can do all things through Christ who gives us strength.

The Spirit assures us of sufficient assistances, because He guides, He reveals and He glorify Christ through believers. He is to go along with us. The Spirit guide us into all truths, the Spirit shall teach nothing but the truth, for He speaks only what He shall hear from the Father. The Spirit always concurs with the word of Christ, the Spirit shows us things to come, and He will not lead us wrongly, but will show us the right pathway.  The Spirit of Truth will help us to walk with confidence, to speak with boldness, to act courage’s not to be afraid, for He is with us. The Spirit of Truth, sense He is God, knowing all that God knows, and is qualified to reveal divine truth, the leading of the Spirit will always be consistence, for He will never leaves us nor will He forsake us.

Jesus tells His disciples that the role of the Holy Spirit is to reveal what is true. Jesus tells us that “you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free”, the truth liberate us from doubts, illusions, and fears. Since God is the source of all truth, then the closer we draws to Him and listen to His word, the more we grow in the knowledge of Him the more of the truth is reveal to us. The Holy Spirit proclaims Christ as the only way to God. For Jesus says I and the Father are on, He says I am the way, the truth and the life, the Holy Spirit proclaim Christ as the only way to God. The Holy Spirit proclaims Christ as the only way to God.

How the Holy Spirit desires to help us? And He will help us if we allow Him to. He helps us in our weakness, He helps us in prayer, for we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Holy Spirit makes intercession with groaning which cannot be utter . He gives us the language for prayer; the Holy Spirit guides us in every area of our lives. He brings all things to our remembrance all things that Jesus said, He will empower us to be witnesses, and He shall bring life and healing to us.  He encourages us and He we cannot live without Him, the Holy Spirit of Truth is here.
